What is an Ambassador?

An ambassador is anyone who is excited about the work of COOL and wants to share what we are doing so that others can hear and join in.

An ambassador is someone willing to act as a link between COOL and their church family, passing on news about our events, sharing prayer requests, and passing on literature such as our newsletter.

Can you join the team?

We only need one ambassador per church, and some of our churches already have COOL Ambassadors but we would love to have all our churches represented.  Could you be our link?

Do you have a heart for the work of COOL?
Are you aged 18 or older?
Are you a committed, regular attender of your church?

If so, you can simply contact Heather for more information.

Volunteer with COOL

Become a volunteer

Volunteers are at the heart of the work of COOL and we couldn’t do all that we do without them.  Their input is invaluable and so we say a huge thank you to each of them.

We are always looking for new volunteers, people who share our vision to get involved in working with children and young people, and to provide all the other vital support tasks that make it possible to carry our work.

Are you aged 18 years or older?  Do you share our vision?  There are several different ways to volunteer for COOL with new opportunities shown below.  Slightly different processes are required for signing up depending on what you are volunteering to do but you will certainly have an application and PVG form to complete.  Please contact Timmy for more information.

Youth Volunteer

Volunteering is hugely rewarding and valuable for anybody but even more as a young person.  It is an opportunity to give something back to your community and have a sense of achievement and confidence.  You will be able to develop new skills and learn something about yourself in the process, and further education and employers look very favourably on people who have had volunteering experience.

If you are under 18 years old then unfortunately you cannot sign up to be an adult volunteer but do not fear, there are many opportunities for you to be involved and be a Young Volunteer with COOL.  We would love to have you as part of the team for our residential trips or missions, and we have a few Young Volunteer positions on the COOL Management Committee.  For more information on these and more opportunities to be a Young Volunteer please contact Timmy.

  • Volunteering to assist with the Youth Ministry at COOL is both a great honour and privilege which has provided my devotional discipleship to grow even deeper with My Lord. I have been truly blessed beyond all measure in serving and assisting in so many ways with the local youth work. I have also witnessed on many occasions just how important these connections with our young people are; seeing how they grow and continue to be sustained as time progresses – often into lifelong friendships as a direct result of these years of volunteering.

By meeting up with and serving our young folk, I receive so many, many additional blessings myself, exemplified and mindful of the Graham  Kendrick’s song; The Servant King, whereby the wonderful lyric’s remind me of just why I offer up, worship and serve so freely My Servant King in this way:-

“This is our God, The Servant King

He calls us now to follow Him

To bring our lives as a daily offering

Of worship to The Servant King”.

I continue to be extremely grateful to all at COOL for enabling and providing a means to assist in this manner. May God truly continue to Bless and Prosper all the COOL work, endeavours and visionary initiatives.

    Angus MacLennan
