alltnacriche youth weekend 2023

Free Church of Scotland

Thank you for registering your children to come along to our Alltnacriche Youth Weekend.  We are very excited for it and hope they are too!

We will be leaving on Friday 15th Sept and returning Sunday 17th Sept.  Please see below for the bus pick-up times and locations.

In the event of you having to get a hold of us during the weekend the centre number is 01479 810237 or you can ring Timmy on 07731 575331 (please be aware that the mobile signal is sometimes not great in parts of the centre). The website for Alltnacriche is www.alltnacriche.org.uk if you want a wee look to see where we’re going.

It is crucial that the confirmation form below is completed before we leave but please keep us updated if any changes occur to the medical details section before we leave. The form also gives you the opportunity to pay the remainder of the fee if you have paid a deposit with the booking form.

The program will include a mix of indoor and outdoor activities and plenty of time to relax in the centre. Please make sure you include a set of indoor and outdoor clothes and footwear, and although the weather is not looking to bad at the moment it is advisable to bring warm clothes for the outdoor activities. It goes without saying in Scotland but just in case, please pack a waterproof jacket. We will probably have a session with the slip and slide so please pack a set of clothes that can get very wet! We will provide a bag to put them in, although there is a drying room on site to dry them out a bit first.

A basic kit list is given below. Bedding is supplied by the centre so please don’t bring any bedding or pillows from home. Towels are not provided so please ensure one is packed. The tuckshop will be open on Saturday, but it is reasonably priced, so we recommend around £10 is sufficient. This will be collected on arrival and stored safely so the young people don’t have to worry about having it their rooms.  The total they spend will be deducted and they will be given what they have left when we leave.

Each year we take a voluntary donation on Sunday morning during our together time which goes to help those in need.  This year that will go to support the aid efforts in Morocco following the devastating earthquake. If you would like to donate then please pack some money to give to this appeal.

Can I please remind you of our policy for your children’s own safety to collect mobile phones and medicines on arrival at the centre. Medicines should be clearly labelled and their use detailed in the Medical Details section of the form below. Access to phones will be given at arranged times.

Finally, if you need any more information, please contact me or any other leader known to you.
